The SIRT7 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0979) is a valuable tool for research involving SIRT7, a key protein involved in regulating various cellular processes, including gene expression, DNA repair, and metabolism. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards SIRT7 in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.SIRT7 is a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, known for their roles in regulating cellular metabolism and stress response. SIRT7 specifically plays a key role in maintaining genomic stability and promoting cell survival under conditions of stress.
Research has shown that dysregulation of SIRT7 is associated with various diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders.By using the SIRT7 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can effectively detect and quantify SIRT7 levels in different cell types and tissues, allowing for a better understanding of its function and potential implications in disease. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in cancer biology, aging, and metabolic disorders, offering valuable insights into the role of SIRT7 in health and disease.

This gene encodes a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined; however, yeast sirtuin proteins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing and suppress recombination of rDNA. Studies suggest that the human sirtuins may function as intracellular regulatory proteins with mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity. The protein encoded by this gene is included in class IV of the sirtuin family.
