The SIRT7 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying SIRT7, a key protein involved in regulating various cellular processes, including gene expression, DNA repair, and metabolic homeostasis. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.SIRT7 is a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, known for their role in regulating aging and longevity. SIRT7 specifically plays a crucial role in maintaining genomic stability and controlling cell proliferation. Dysregulation of SIRT7 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.
By utilizing the SIRT7 Polyclonal Antibody in their research, scientists can accurately detect and analyze SIRT7 levels in different cell types and tissues. This allows for a better understanding of the protein's function and its potential involvement in disease pathways. Overall, this antibody is essential for studies in the fields of molecular biology, cancer research, and aging-related diseases.

This gene encodes a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined; however, yeast sirtuin proteins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing and suppress recombination of rDNA. Studies suggest that the human sirtuins may function as intracellular regulatory proteins with mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity. The protein encoded by this gene is included in class IV of the sirtuin family.
