The SIRT7 Monoclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying SIRT7, a member of the sirtuin family of proteins involved in various cellular processes, including chromatin regulation, metabolism, and stress response. This antibody, produced using hybridoma technology, demonstrates high specificity and sensitivity in detecting SIRT7 in human samples, making it suitable for use in techniques such as Western blotting and immunofluorescence.SIRT7 is known for its role in promoting cell survival, maintaining genomic stability, and regulating gene expression.
Dysregulation of SIRT7 has been implicated in diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndromes, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions. By utilizing the SIRT7 Monoclonal Antibody, researchers can gain insights into the functions and mechanisms of SIRT7, potentially leading to the development of novel treatment strategies for various health conditions.

This gene encodes a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined; however, yeast sirtuin proteins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing and suppress recombination of rDNA. Studies suggest that the human sirtuins may function as intracellular regulatory proteins with mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity. The protein encoded by this gene is included in class IV of the sirtuin family.
