The SIRT4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15800) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SIRT4, a mitochondrial sirtuin protein involved in cellular metabolism and energy regulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and is suitable for use in Western blot and immunofluorescence applications.SIRT4 is known to function as a regulator of metabolism, particularly in glucose and lipid metabolism, making it a key player in metabolic homeostasis. Dysregulation of SIRT4 has been implicated in various diseases, including metabolic disorders and cancer.
By targeting SIRT4 with this antibody, researchers can investigate its role in these diseases and potentially develop new therapeutic strategies. With its high reactivity and specificity, the SIRT4 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for studying the function of SIRT4 in various cell types and tissues. Its use in research may lead to a better understanding of metabolic diseases and provide insights into potential therapeutic interventions.

This gene encodes a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined; however, yeast sirtuin proteins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing and suppress recombination of rDNA. Studies suggest that the human sirtuins may function as intracellular regulatory proteins with mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity. The protein encoded by this gene is included in class IV of the sirtuin family.
