The SIRT1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB17307) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SIRT1, a protein involved in metabolic regulation, aging, and cellular stress response. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot and immunofluorescence applications.SIRT1, a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, plays a crucial role in regulating various biological processes such as DNA repair, apoptosis, and energy metabolism. Dysregulation of SIRT1 has been linked to numerous age-related diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndromes.
By detecting and analyzing SIRT1 expression in different cell types, this antibody enables researchers to delve deeper into the mechanisms underlying these conditions. With its ability to target and detect SIRT1 protein levels, the CAB17307 antibody is an essential tool for studies focusing on metabolic disorders, aging, and various age-related diseases. Its utility in both basic research and drug development makes it an invaluable resource for scientists seeking to better understand and manipulate SIRT1 function.

This gene encodes a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined; however, yeast sirtuin proteins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing and suppress recombination of rDNA. Studies suggest that the human sirtuins may function as intracellular regulatory proteins with mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity. The protein encoded by this gene is included in class I of the sirtuin family. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
