The Siglec8 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10514) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Siglec8, a cell surface protein that belongs to the sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectins family. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the Siglec8 protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of Siglec8 in a variety of cell types.Siglec8 is known for its role in immune regulation, particularly in the context of allergic responses and inflammation. Its expression on eosinophils and mast cells suggests its involvement in allergic diseases and asthma.
Additionally, Siglec8 has been implicated in the modulation of immune responses in the tumor microenvironment, making it a potential target for cancer immunotherapy research.By using the Siglec8 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10514), researchers can gain insights into the function of Siglec8 in various disease settings, paving the way for the development of novel therapeutic strategies. This antibody is a valuable asset for studies in immunology, oncology, and allergic diseases, providing essential tools for investigating the complex mechanisms of immune regulation and response modulation.

Sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin (Ig)-like lectins, or SIGLECs (e.g., CD33 (MIM 159590)), are a family of type 1 transmembrane proteins each having a unique expression pattern, mostly in hemopoietic cells. SIGLEC8 is a member of the CD33-like subgroup of SIGLECs, which are localized to 19q13.3-q13.4 and have 2 conserved cytoplasmic tyrosine-based motifs: an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif, or ITIM (see MIM 604964), and a motif homologous to one identified in signaling lymphocyte activation molecule (SLAM; MIM 603492) that mediates an association with SLAM-associated protein (SAP; MIM 300490) (summarized by Foussias et al., 2000 [PubMed 11095983]).
