The Siglec5 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB4250) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Siglec5, a member of the Siglec (sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectins) family of cell surface receptors. This polyclonal antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications.Siglec5 is known to be involved in immune regulation and plays a role in modulating immune responses, particularly in the context of inflammation and autoimmune diseases. The antibody specifically binds to the Siglec5 protein, enabling its detection and analysis in various cell types.
This makes it an ideal choice for studies in immunology and cancer research, where understanding the function of Siglec5 can provide valuable insights into disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.By utilizing the Siglec5 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can further explore the role of Siglec5 in immune homeostasis, inflammation, and disease pathology. This antibody serves as a crucial tool for investigating the function and potential therapeutic applications of Siglec5 in a variety of research settings.

Mouse
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 17-434 of human SIGLEC5 (NP_003821.1).
This gene encodes a member of the sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin (Siglec) family. These cell surface lectins are characterized by structural motifs in the immunoglobulin (Ig)-like domains and sialic acid recognition sites in the first Ig V set domain. The encoded protein is a member of the CD33-related subset of Siglecs and inhibits the activation of several cell types including monocytes, macrophages and neutrophils. Binding of group B Streptococcus (GBS) to the encoded protein plays a role in GBS immune evasion.
