The Sialidase-1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6299) is a crucial tool for researchers studying sialidase-1, an enzyme involved in the cleavage of sialic acids from glycoproteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it ideal for various research applications such as Western blotting.Sialidase-1 plays a key role in various biological processes, including cell signaling, immune response modulation, and pathogen infection. Its dysregulation has been linked to several diseases, including cancer, viral infections, and neurodegenerative disorders.
By targeting sialidase-1 with this antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into its function and potential implications in disease pathology. With its ability to detect and analyze sialidase-1 in different cell types, the Sialidase-1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable asset for studies in molecular biology, immunology, and oncology. Its versatility and reliability make it a valuable resource for advancing our understanding of sialidase-1 biology and its potential as a therapeutic target in various medical conditions.
Product Name:
NEU1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB6299
Size:
20uL, 100uL

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 210-415 of human NEU1 (NP_000425.1).
The protein encoded by this gene is a lysosomal enzyme that cleaves terminal sialic acid residues from substrates such as glycoproteins and glycolipids. In the lysosome, this enzyme is part of a heterotrimeric complex together with beta-galactosidase and cathepsin A (the latter is also referred to as 'protective protein'). Mutations in this gene can lead to sialidosis, a lysosomal storage disease that can be type 1 (cherry red spot-myoclonus syndrome or normosomatic type), which is late-onset, or type 2 (the dysmorphic type), which occurs at an earlier age with increased severity.
