The SF3B3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6146) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SF3B3, a core component of the spliceosome complex involved in pre-mRNA splicing. The antibody is generated in rabbits and exhibits high specificity for SF3B3 protein in human samples, making it suitable for Western blot applications. By targeting SF3B3, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of SF3B3 expression in various cell types, facilitating studies in molecular biology and genetic diseases.SF3B3 is essential for the accurate splicing of RNA transcripts and plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression. Dysregulation of SF3B3 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and genetic disorders, highlighting its importance in cellular processes.
By investigating the function of SF3B3, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially uncover new therapeutic targets for intervention.Overall, the SF3B3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6146) serves as a powerful tool for researchers interested in understanding the role of SF3B3 in cellular processes and disease pathogenesis. Its specificity and reliability make it an invaluable asset for advancing scientific knowledge in the field of molecular biology and genetics.

This gene encodes subunit 3 of the splicing factor 3b protein complex. Splicing factor 3b, together with splicing factor 3a and a 12S RNA unit, forms the U2 small nuclear ribonucleoproteins complex (U2 snRNP). The splicing factor 3b/3a complex binds pre-mRNA upstream of the intron's branch site in a sequence independent manner and may anchor the U2 snRNP to the pre-mRNA. Splicing factor 3b is also a component of the minor U12-type spliceosome. Subunit 3 has also been identified as a component of the STAGA (SPT3-TAF(II)31-GCN5L acetylase) transcription coactivator-HAT (histone acetyltransferase) complex, and the TFTC (TATA-binding-protein-free TAF(II)-containing complex). These complexes may function in chromatin modification, transcription, splicing, and DNA repair.
