The SETDB2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7391) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the SETDB2 protein, a key regulator of gene expression and chromatin structure. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blotting applications. By targeting the SETDB2 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in epigenetics and cancer research.SETDB2 is a histone methyltransferase that plays a crucial role in gene silencing and chromatin modification, impacting various cellular processes such as DNA replication and repair.
Dysregulation of SETDB2 has been implicated in a range of diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders. By studying the function and activity of SETDB2, researchers can gain insight into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify new therapeutic targets.Overall, the SETDB2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7391) is a valuable tool for investigating the role of SETDB2 in gene regulation and disease development, providing researchers with the ability to further explore the intricate molecular pathways governing cellular function.
Product Name:
SETDB2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 148-378 of human SETDB2 (NP_114121.2).
This gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that contain a methyl-CpG-binding domain (MBD) and a SET domain and function as histone methyltransferases. This protein is recruited to heterochromatin and plays a role in the regulation of chromosome segregation. This region is commonly deleted in chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Naturally-occuring readthrough transcription occurs from this gene to the downstream PHF11 (PHD finger protein 11) gene. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
