The SETD2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB3194) is a valuable tool for research involving the SETD2 protein, a histone methyltransferase known for its role in epigenetic regulation and tumor suppression. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.SETD2 is a critical player in maintaining genomic stability and proper gene expression through its histone-modifying activity. Dysregulation of SETD2 has been linked to various cancers, highlighting its importance in tumorigenesis and potential as a therapeutic target.
The SETD2 Polyclonal Antibody allows for accurate detection and analysis of SETD2 protein levels in different cell types, facilitating research in cancer biology and epigenetics.By studying the function of SETD2 using this antibody, researchers can gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development and progression. Additionally, understanding the role of SETD2 in epigenetic regulation may lead to the discovery of novel treatment strategies for cancer and other diseases associated with altered gene expression patterns.

Huntington's disease (HD), a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by loss of striatal neurons, is caused by an expansion of a polyglutamine tract in the HD protein huntingtin. This gene encodes a protein belonging to a class of huntingtin interacting proteins characterized by WW motifs. This protein is a histone methyltransferase that is specific for lysine-36 of histone H3, and methylation of this residue is associated with active chromatin. This protein also contains a novel transcriptional activation domain and has been found associated with hyperphosphorylated RNA polymerase II.
