The SDCCAG3 Polyclonal Antibody (PACO14324) is a high-quality research tool designed for studying SDCCAG3, a protein involved in cilia assembly and function. This antibody is raised in rabbits and is highly specific for detecting SDCCAG3 in human samples. Validated for use in Western blot applications, it enables precise detection and analysis of SDCCAG3 in various cell types.SDCCAG3, also known as NME5 Interacting Protein 1, plays a crucial role in ciliary function and has been implicated in various ciliopathies and genetic disorders.
Research on SDCCAG3 is essential for understanding the mechanisms underlying cilia formation and function, which are essential for normal cellular processes and development.By utilizing the SDCCAG3 Polyclonal Antibody (PACO14324), researchers can further investigate the role of SDCCAG3 in cilia assembly, signaling pathways, and related diseases. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in cell biology, genetics, and developmental biology, providing insights into ciliary biology and its implications in human health and disease.

Background:
SDCCAG3 protein contains the region similar to the coiled-coil domain of the myosin tail. The same domain is present in the proteins related to the organelles/proteins trafficking, such as kinesin, Golgin-160, and dynein. SDCCAG3 function might be related to protein trafficking and secretion, May be involved in modulation of TNF response, May be involved in presentation of TNFRSF1A on the cell surface. Interaction of SDCCAG3 with the Arf GTPase activating protein GIT1 (G protein-coupled receptor kinase interactor-1). Overexpression of an ArfGAP-negative version of GIT1 also results in an increased number of multinucleate cells suggesting regulation of Arf-mediated vesicular trafficking or signaling via SDCCAG3.
Synonyms:
serologically defined colon cancer antigen 3
UniProt Protein Function:
SDCCAG3: May be involved in modulation of TNF response. May be involved in presentation of TNFRSF1A on the cell surface. Belongs to the SDCCAG3 family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
