The SAGE1 Antibody (PAC0617-02) is a high-quality polyclonal antibody designed for research involving SAGE1, a cancer-testis antigen expressed in a variety of cancer types. The antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the SAGE1 protein, this antibody allows for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an ideal tool for researchers in the fields of oncology and cancer biology.SAGE1 is a promising target for cancer research due to its restricted expression in normal tissues and high expression in various cancer types, including lung cancer, breast cancer, and ovarian cancer.
Its potential role in cancer progression and metastasis makes it a valuable target for developing novel cancer therapies and diagnostic tools. By understanding the function of SAGE1, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying cancer development and progression, ultimately leading to improved cancer treatments and patient outcomes.

IHC image of PACO61702 diluted at 1:400 and staining in paraffin-embedded human testis tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.

NCBI Summary:
This gene belongs to a class of genes that are activated in tumors. These genes are expressed in tumors of different histologic types but not in normal tissues, except for spermatogenic cells and, for some, placenta. The proteins encoded by these genes appear to be strictly tumor specific, and hence may be excellent sources of antigens for cancer immunotherapy. This gene is expressed in sarcomas.
