The RUBCN Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16652) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the RUBCN protein, which is involved in autophagy, a cellular process essential for maintaining cell health and homeostasis. This antibody, raised in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunofluorescence.RUBCN, also known as RUN domain Beclin-1-interacting and cysteine-rich domain-containing protein, is a key player in the autophagy pathway, facilitating the formation of autophagosomes and promoting degradation of cellular components.
Dysregulation of autophagy has been implicated in a range of diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic conditions, underscoring the importance of understanding the role of RUBCN in these processes.By using the RUBCN Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can detect and analyze RUBCN protein levels in various cell types, expanding our knowledge of autophagy and its implications for disease pathogenesis. This antibody is an essential tool for investigations into the molecular mechanisms of autophagy and the development of targeted therapies for autophagy-related diseases.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-200 of human Rubicon (NP_055502.1).
The protein encoded by this gene is a negative regulator of autophagy and endocytic trafficking and controls endosome maturation. This protein contains two conserved domains, an N-terminal RUN domain and a C-terminal DUF4206 domain. The RUN domain is involved in Ras-like GTPase signaling, and the DUF4206 domain contains a diacylglycerol (DAG) binding-like motif. Mutation in this gene results in deletion of the DAG binding-like motif and causes a recessive ataxia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
