The RTN3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15129) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the RTN3 protein, a crucial component involved in various cellular processes such as endoplasmic reticulum (ER) function and neurodegenerative diseases. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. The RTN3 protein, also known as reticulon 3, plays a significant role in maintaining ER morphology and function, as well as in regulating processes such as ER stress response and autophagy. Dysregulation of RTN3 has been implicated in neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.
By specifically binding to the RTN3 protein, this polyclonal antibody enables precise detection and analysis of RTN3 expression in various cell types, providing valuable insights for researchers in the fields of neuroscience, cell biology, and neurodegenerative diseases. With its versatility and specificity, the RTN3 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential asset for advancing research in understanding the roles and mechanisms of RTN3 in health and disease.

This gene belongs to the reticulon family of highly conserved genes that are preferentially expressed in neuroendocrine tissues. This family of proteins interact with, and modulate the activity of beta-amyloid converting enzyme 1 (BACE1), and the production of amyloid-beta. An increase in the expression of any reticulon protein substantially reduces the production of amyloid-beta, suggesting that reticulon proteins are negative modulators of BACE1 in cells. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, and pseudogenes of this gene are located on chromosomes 4 and 12.
