Description
RRAGA/RRAGB Antibody (PACO06793)
The RRAGA/RRAGB Polyclonal Antibody (PACO06793) is a vital tool for researchers studying the Rag GTPases, key regulators of the mTOR pathway and cellular growth. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and reactivity towards human samples, making it ideal for Western blot applications. By targeting the RRAGA and RRAGB proteins, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, facilitating investigations in the fields of cell biology and cancer research. The Rag GTPases, consisting of RRAGA and RRAGB, play a crucial role in sensing nutrient availability and regulating cell growth through the mTOR signaling pathway.
Dysregulation of this pathway is implicated in various diseases, including cancer, making the RRAGA/RRAGB antibody an invaluable tool for understanding the mechanisms underlying these conditions. By studying the activity of RRAGA and RRAGB, researchers can gain insights that may lead to the development of targeted therapies for cancer and other mTOR-related disorders.

UniProt Protein Function: | RRAGA: Has guanine nucleotide-binding activity but undetectable intrinsic GTPase activity. Required for the amino acid-induced relocalization of mTORC1 to the lysosomes and its subsequent activation by the GTPase RHEB. This is a crucial step in the activation of the TOR signaling cascade by amino acids. Involved in the RCC1/Ran-GTPase pathway. May play a direct role in a TNF- alpha signaling pathway leading to induction of cell death. May alternatively act as a cellular target for adenovirus E3-14.7K, an inhibitor of TNF-alpha functions, thereby affecting cell death. Can occur as a homodimer, or form a heterodimer with RRAGC or RRAGD in a sequence-independent manner. Binds GTP. The GTP-bound form of RRAGA interacts with NOL8. Interacts with adenovirus E3 14.7 kDa protein. Ubiquitously expressed with highest levels of expression in skeletal muscle, heart, and brain. Belongs to the GTR/RAG GTP-binding protein family. |
