The RPS17 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16425) is a vital tool for researchers studying RPS17, a ribosomal protein essential for protein synthesis and cell growth. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards RPS17 in human samples, making it ideal for Western blot applications. By binding to the RPS17 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, facilitating research in molecular biology and cancer biology.RPS17, a component of the 40S ribosomal subunit, plays a crucial role in protein translation and synthesis.
Dysregulation of RPS17 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and ribosomal disorders. Therefore, studying the function and expression of RPS17 is essential for understanding its role in cellular homeostasis and disease progression. The RPS17 Polyclonal Antibody provides researchers with a valuable tool to investigate the mechanisms underlying RPS17-related diseases and develop targeted therapeutic interventions.

Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of four RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. This gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 40S subunit. The protein belongs to the S17E family of ribosomal proteins and is located in the cytoplasm. Mutations in this gene cause Diamond-Blackfan anemia 4. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersed through the genome.
