The RPS14 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6727) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the RPS14 protein, a critical component of the ribosome involved in protein synthesis. This antibody, produced in rabbits, boasts high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications.RPS14, a key player in ribosome assembly and function, is essential for proper protein production and cellular growth. Dysregulation of RPS14 has been linked to various diseases, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.
The RPS14 Polyclonal Antibody binds specifically to the RPS14 protein, allowing for precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types.Researchers in the fields of molecular biology, cancer biology, and developmental biology will find this antibody particularly useful for elucidating the role of RPS14 in various cellular processes. By understanding the function of RPS14, researchers can uncover potential therapeutic strategies for treating diseases associated with ribosomal dysfunction.

Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. This gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 40S subunit. The protein belongs to the S11P family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm. Transcript variants utilizing alternative transcription initiation sites have been described in the literature. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersed through the genome. In Chinese hamster ovary cells, mutations in this gene can lead to resistance to emetine, a protein synthesis inhibitor. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
