The RPL8 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10042) is specifically designed for research involving RPL8, a ribosomal protein that plays a crucial role in protein synthesis. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the RPL8 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of RPL8 in a variety of cell types, making it an excellent tool for studies in molecular biology and cancer research.RPL8 is a key component of the ribosome, the cellular machinery responsible for protein production. Understanding the function and regulation of RPL8 is essential for unraveling the complex mechanisms of protein synthesis and its role in various cellular processes.
Research on RPL8 is particularly important in the context of cancer, where dysregulation of protein synthesis can contribute to tumor development and progression.By utilizing the RPL8 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10042), researchers can gain valuable insights into the role of RPL8 in cellular processes, providing a deeper understanding of its involvement in disease states such as cancer. This antibody is a valuable tool for advancing our knowledge of protein synthesis and its implications for human health.

Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. This gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 60S subunit. The protein belongs to the L2P family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm. In rat, the protein associates with the 5.8S rRNA, very likely participates in the binding of aminoacyl-tRNA, and is a constituent of the elongation factor 2-binding site at the ribosomal subunit interface. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein exist. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersed through the genome.
