The RLN1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15714) is specially designed for research involving RLN1, a hormone that plays a key role in reproductive and cardiovascular systems. This antibody is produced in rabbits and has high reactivity with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the RLN1 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in various cell types, making it a valuable tool for studies in reproductive biology and cardiovascular research.RLN1, also known as Relaxin-1, is a peptide hormone that is involved in various physiological processes, including uterine relaxation during pregnancy and cardiovascular function.
Understanding the role of RLN1 in these systems is essential for developing potential treatments for conditions such as infertility, preterm labor, and cardiovascular diseases. By using the RLN1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the function and regulation of RLN1, advancing our understanding of its role in reproductive and cardiovascular health.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human RLN1 (NP_008842.1).
Relaxins are known endocrine and autocrine/paracrine hormones, belonging to the insulin gene superfamily. In humans there are three non-allelic relaxin genes, RLN1, RLN2 and RLN3, where RLN1 and RLN2 share high sequence homology. The protein encoded by this gene is synthesized as a single-chain polypeptide but the active form consists of an A chain and a B chain linked by disulfide bonds. Relaxin is produced by the ovary, and targets the mammalian reproductive system to ripen the cervix, elongate the pubic symphysis and inhibit uterine contraction. It may have additional roles in enhancing sperm motility, regulating blood pressure, controlling heart rate and releasing oxytocin and vasopressin.
