The Ring-Box Protein 2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7301) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the Ring-Box Protein 2 (RNF7), a crucial player in the ubiquitin-proteasome system. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting.RNF7 is known to be involved in the regulation of protein degradation, specifically targeting proteins for ubiquitination and subsequent degradation by the proteasome. This process plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and is implicated in various cellular processes, including cell cycle regulation, signal transduction, and DNA repair.
With its high reactivity and specificity, the Ring-Box Protein 2 Polyclonal Antibody enables precise detection and analysis of RNF7 in different cell types, making it an ideal tool for researchers in the fields of cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology. Understanding the function and regulation of RNF7 is essential for unraveling its role in cellular processes and its potential as a therapeutic target in diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.

The protein encoded by this gene is a highly conserved ring finger protein. It is an essential subunit of SKP1-cullin/CDC53-F box protein ubiquitin ligases, which are a part of the protein degradation machinery important for cell cycle progression and signal transduction. This protein interacts with, and is a substrate of, casein kinase II (CSNK2A1/CKII). The phosphorylation of this protein by CSNK2A1 has been shown to promote the degradation of IkappaBalpha (CHUK/IKK-alpha/IKBKA) and p27Kip1(CDKN1B). Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
