The Ribonuclease 3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8336) is a valuable research tool designed for studying ribonuclease 3, an enzyme involved in RNA processing and degradation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. It binds specifically to ribonuclease 3 protein, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types.Ribonuclease 3 plays a crucial role in the regulation of RNA stability and gene expression, making it a key player in cellular processes such as RNA splicing and turnover.
Research into ribonuclease 3 is important for understanding its involvement in diseases related to RNA metabolism, such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. With its high specificity and reliable performance in Western blot assays, the Ribonuclease 3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8336) is an essential tool for researchers in the fields of molecular biology and biotechnology seeking to unravel the complex functions of ribonuclease 3 in health and disease.

This gene encodes a ribonuclease (RNase) III double-stranded RNA-specific ribonuclease and subunit of the microprocessor protein complex, which catalyzes the initial processing step of microRNA (miRNA) synthesis. The encoded protein cleaves the stem loop structure from the primary microRNA (pri-miRNA) in the nucleus, yielding the precursor miRNA (pre-miRNA), which is then exported to the cytoplasm for further processing. In a human cell line lacking a functional copy of this gene, canonical miRNA synthesis is reduced. Somatic mutations in this gene have been observed in human patients with kidney cancer.
