The RHD Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15092) is a specialized antibody designed for research involving the RHD protein, a critical factor in blood typing and transfusion medicine. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human RHD samples and has been rigorously validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the RHD protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze RHD expression in a variety of cell types, making it an invaluable tool for studies in hematology and transfusion science. The RHD protein is a key determinant of the Rh blood group system, playing a crucial role in determining an individual's blood type and compatibility for blood transfusions.
Understanding the expression and function of the RHD protein is essential for ensuring safe and effective blood transfusion practices, as well as for investigating conditions such as hemolytic disease of the newborn and autoimmune hemolytic anemia. With its high specificity and reliability, the RHD Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15092) provides researchers with a powerful tool for studying the RHD protein and its implications in blood typing and transfusion medicine. Whether investigating Rh blood group phenotypes or developing new diagnostic tools, this antibody offers a dependable solution for advancing research in the field of hematology.

The Rh blood group system is the second most clinically significant of the blood groups, second only to ABO. It is also the most polymorphic of the blood groups, with variations due to deletions, gene conversions, and missense mutations. The Rh blood group includes this gene, which encodes the RhD protein, and a second gene that encodes both the RhC and RhE antigens on a single polypeptide. The two genes, and a third unrelated gene, are found in a cluster on chromosome 1. The classification of Rh-positive and Rh-negative individuals is determined by the presence or absence of the highly immunogenic RhD protein on the surface of erythrocytes. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
