The RGS20 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8167) is a valuable tool for research on RGS20, a regulator of G protein signaling that plays a vital role in cellular signal transduction pathways. Developed using rabbits, this antibody is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the RGS20 protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze RGS20 expression in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in cell signaling, neurobiology, and cardiovascular research.RGS20, also known as Regulator of G protein signaling 20, is involved in modulating the activity of G proteins, which are key regulators of cell functions such as proliferation, differentiation, and migration.
Dysregulation of RGS20 has been implicated in various diseases, including cardiovascular disorders, neurological conditions, and cancer. By studying the function of RGS20, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for intervention.Overall, the RGS20 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8167) offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating the role of RGS20 in cellular signaling pathways and disease processes. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a valuable asset for advancing our understanding of RGS20 function and its implications for human health.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of regulator of G protein signaling (RGS) proteins, which are regulatory and structural components of G protein-coupled receptor complexes. RGS proteins inhibit signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits, thereby driving them into their inactive GDP-bound forms. This protein selectively binds to G(z)-alpha and G(alpha)-i2 subunits, and regulates their signaling activities. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
