Description
Recombinant VEGF Monoclonal Antibody (CPAB0081)
The Recombinant VEGF Antibody (CPAB0081) is a high-quality antibody designed for research involving Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), a critical signaling protein involved in angiogenesis and vasculogenesis. The antibody is produced using recombinant technology and is highly specific for VEGF, making it ideal for use in various research applications.VEGF is known for its role in promoting the growth of new blood vessels in both physiological and pathological conditions, making it a key target for research in cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and other angiogenesis-related disorders. The Recombinant VEGF Antibody is validated for use in assays such as ELISA, Western blot, and immunohistochemistry, enabling researchers to accurately detect and quantify VEGF levels in various samples.
By using the Recombinant VEGF Antibody, researchers can study the expression and function of VEGF in different cell types and tissues, facilitating a better understanding of its role in disease progression and potential therapeutic interventions. This antibody provides a reliable tool for investigating the complex pathways and mechanisms involving VEGF, thereby contributing to advancements in the field of angiogenesis research.

Background: | Vascular endothelial growth factoris an important signaling proteininvolved in both vasculogenesisand angiogenesis. As its name implies, VEGF activity has been mostly studied on cells of the vascular endothelium, although it does have effects on a number of other cell types (e.g. stimulation monocyte/macrophagemigration, neurons, cancer cells, kidney epithelial cells ).VEGF mediates increased vascular permeability, induces angiogenesis, vasculogenesis and endothelial cell growth, promotes cell migration, and inhibits apoptosis. In vitro, VEGF has been shown to stimulate endothelial cell mitogenesisand cell migration. VEGF is also a vasodilator and increases microvascular permeability and was originally referred to as vascular permeability factor. Elevated levels of this protein is linked to POEMS syndrome, also known as Crow-Fukase syndrome. Mutations in this gene have been associated with proliferative and nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy. |
