Human TGFB2 Recombinant Protein
Transforming growth factor beta-2 (TGF-beta 2) is a secreted protein which belongs to the TGF-beta family. It is a cytokine that performs several cellular functions and has an essential function in early development. The precursor is cleaved into mature TGF-beta-2 and LAP, which remains non-covalently linked to mature TGF-beta-2 rendering it inactive. TGF-beta 2 is a glycosylated extracellular protein. TGF-beta 2 has been shown to decrease the activity of interleukin (IL)-dependent T-cell cancers. TGFB2 anomalies can lead to non-syndromic aortic disease (NSAD).
