Human PGK1/PGKA Recombinant Protein
The enzyme PGMK1, also known as phosphoglycerate kinase 1, is a protein that converts 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate in the glycolytic pathway. Phosphoglycerate kinase 1/PGK1 may also be a cofactor for polymerase α. The protein PGMK1/Phosphoglycerate kinase 1 is also secreted by tumor cells and has the ability to lower disulfide bridges in the serine protease plasmin, allowing angiostatin to be released from tumor blood vessels. A deficiency of PGK1/Phosphoglycerate kinase 1 (PGK1) causes a range of medical problems, including hemolytic anemia and neurological damage. Human PGK1/PGKA Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
