Human Nucleobindin-2/NUCB2 Recombinant Protein
Nesfatin-1 is a metabolic polypeptide that is produced in the N-terminal part of the precursor protein, Nucleobindin2 (NUCB2). Nesfatin-1 is a neuropeptide produced in the mammalian hypothalamus. It is involved in hunger and fat storage regulation. Nesfatin-1 is also found in the brain and promotes beta cell function, gastric endocrine cells, and fat cells. Nesfatin-1 inhibits food intake and energy metabolism in Leptin-independent ways. Nesfatin-1 may also exert hypertensive roles and modulate blood pressure through directly acting on peripheral arterial resistance. Human Nucleobindin-2/NUCB2 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
