Human LDLR Recombinant Protein
The low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) gene family is made up of cell surface receptors that are involved in ligand-mediated endocytosis. The low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is tightly bound to the cell membrane and incorporated into the cell, where it is broken down and cholesterol is released for HMG CoA reductase repression, the rate-limiting step in cholesterol synthesis.
