GLP1R is a 7-transmembrane protein that functions as a receptor for the glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) hormone. GLP-1 stimulates glucose-induced insulin secretion. This receptor, which is found on the cell surface and plays a role in insulin release signalling pathways in response to GLP-1 and GLP-1 analogues, is internalised. In animal studies, GLP1R has been linked to brain health due to it's function in neuroprotective. For type 2 diabetes and stroke treatment, the protein is a promising therapeutic target. Polymorphisms in the GLP1R gene are linked to diabetes, indicating that the protein is a promising drug target for type 2 diabetes treatment. Hyperglycemia and insulinoma are two diseases linked to the GLP1R. GLP1R has been linked with the presynaptic function and G alpha (s) signalling events of Kainate receptors. Human GLP1R Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
Recombinant Human LP1R is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Arg24-Tyr145 is expressed with a Fc tag at the C-terminus.
