Human Follistatin 288/FST Recombinant Protein
Follistatin 288 is a secreted glycoprotein that was first discovered in ovarian follicular fluid as a follicle-stimulating hormone inhibiting factor. Follistatin 288 is a 317-amino acid (aa) protein with a 29-aa signal sequence and a 288-aa mature region. Follistatin has the highest affinity for activins because of its extended configuration. Mice genetically lacking follistatin or expressing only the Follistatin form die perinatally due to problems with their lungs, skin, and musculoskeletal system. Follistatin inhibits fibronectin binding to hematopoietic stem cells via FS2. Human Follistatin 288/FST Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
