Fibroblast Growth Factor 9 (FGF-9) belongs to the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. The FGF family includes a wide range of mitogenic and cell survival activities, as well as involvement in numerous biological processes, including embryonic development, cellular growth, tissue formation, wound healing, tumor growth and invasion. FGF-9 is essential in the regulation of embryological development, cell proliferation, cell differentiation, and migration. FGF-9 may also be involved in glial cell growth and development, gliosis during healing and regeneration of brain tissue after trauma, neuronal cell differentiation and survival, and glial tumor growth stimulation. Human FGF-9/FGF9 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
Measured in a cell proliferation assay using Balb/3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells. The ED50 for this effect is 1-5 ng/ml.
