Cluster of Differentiation 112 (CD112), also known as poliovirus receptor-related protein 2 (PVRL2 or PRR2), is a single-pass type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the Immunoglobulin superfamily. CD112 protein also serves as an entry for certain mutant strains of herpes simplex virus and pseudorabies virus and thus is involved in cell to cell spreading of these viruses. CD8+ T cells can kill infected B cell lines via the interaction between CD226/CD112 protein and DNAM-1 (CD226), suggesting that NK cell- and CD8+ T cell-mediated toxicity and cytokine production might be induced by the combination of these proteins. Cytoxan-CD112 has been recognized as a key element in allergic responses and may be considered a new target for anti-allergic medication. Human CD112/Nectin-2 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
