Human ATG3 Recombinant Protein

ATG3 (Ubiquitin-like-conjugating enzyme ATG3), also known as Apg3L and Apg3p, is a regulatory component of autophagosome biogenesis required for autophagy. ATG3 exhibits 98% aa sequence identity with both its mouse and rat orthologs. It is highly concentrated in the heart, skeletal muscle, kidneys, livers tissues, and placenta. As an E2-like enzyme, involves in autophagy and mitochondrial homeostasis. ATG8-like proteins are conjugated to PE by ATG3, which is required for autophagy. ATG3 can also act as a substrate for the conjugation of ATG12 to itself, which is required for mitochondrial homeostasis but not autophagy. Human ATG3 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
