The protein AnnexinA6/ANXA6 has been linked to exocytotic and endocytotic pathways, as well as being a calcium-dependent membrane and phospholipid-binding protein. During exocytosis, annexinA6/ANXA6 is believed to participate in endosome aggregation and vesicle fusion. Kwashiorkor and Neonatal Lupus Erythematosus are two diseases linked to ANXA6. Myometrial Relaxation and contraction pathways and smooth muscle contraction are two AnnexinA6/ANXA6 related pathways.
