The RBBP4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13934) is a valuable tool for researchers studying RBBP4, a crucial protein involved in chromatin remodeling and gene regulation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards RBBP4 in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the RBBP4 protein, this antibody facilitates the detection and analysis of RBBP4 expression levels in various cell types, allowing researchers to explore its role in epigenetic regulation and cellular processes.
RBBP4, also known as Retinoblastoma Binding Protein 4, is a core component of several chromatin-modifying complexes and is essential for the regulation of gene expression and cell differentiation. Dysregulation of RBBP4 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders, highlighting its importance in cellular function. By investigating the function of RBBP4 using this polyclonal antibody, researchers can gain insights into its biological significance and potential as a therapeutic target in disease intervention.

This gene encodes a ubiquitously expressed nuclear protein which belongs to a highly conserved subfamily of WD-repeat proteins. It is present in protein complexes involved in histone acetylation and chromatin assembly. It is part of the Mi-2 complex which has been implicated in chromatin remodeling and transcriptional repression associated with histone deacetylation. This encoded protein is also part of co-repressor complexes, which is an integral component of transcriptional silencing. It is found among several cellular proteins that bind directly to retinoblastoma protein to regulate cell proliferation. This protein also seems to be involved in transcriptional repression of E2F-responsive genes. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
