Description
Rat tPA (Tissue-type Plasminogen Activator) ELISA Kit
The Rat tPA (Tissue-type Plasminogen Activator) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the precise quantitative measurement of Tissue-type Plasminogen Activator (tPA) levels in rat samples. tPA is a key enzyme that plays a critical role in the fibrinolytic system by converting plasminogen into plasmin, facilitating the breakdown of blood clots. This process is essential for maintaining appropriate hemostasis, preventing excessive clot formation, and ensuring proper tissue repair and remodeling. Accurate detection of tPA levels using this ELISA kit provides valuable insights into the fibrinolysis pathway, clot dissolution mechanisms, and thrombolytic activities in biological samples.
Elevated or reduced tPA levels can indicate abnormalities in fibrinolytic processes, thrombotic disorders, or cardiovascular diseases, making this kit a useful tool for researching cardiovascular health, coagulation disorders, and related pathologies in rat models. The Rat tPA ELISA Kit offered by Assay Genie delivers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, enabling reliable and reproducible results. Developed under strict quality standards, this kit ensures robust performance, ease of use, and precise measurement capabilities, making it a trusted choice for investigators seeking to explore the functions and regulation of tPA in various physiological and pathological contexts.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat tPA. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat tPA and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat tPA, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat tPA. You can calculate the concentration of Rat tPA in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Rat tPA were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Rat tPA were tested on 3 different plates, 20 replicates in each plate.
