Rat TIMP-2 (Tissue Inhibitors of Metalloproteinase 2) ELISA Kit
The Rat TIMP-2 (Tissue Inhibitors of Metalloproteinase-2) ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the detection of TIMP-2 levels in rat tissue samples. This kit offers high sensitivity and precision, ensuring accurate and reliable results for various research applications.TIMP-2 is an important inhibitor of metalloproteinases, enzymes involved in tissue remodeling and extracellular matrix degradation. Dysregulation of TIMP-2 is associated with various pathological conditions, including cancer metastasis, inflammatory diseases, and tissue fibrosis.
Therefore, detecting and quantifying TIMP-2 levels can provide valuable insights into disease progression and potential therapeutic targets. With easy-to-follow protocols and comprehensive technical support, the Rat TIMP-2 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a convenient and efficient tool for researchers studying the role of TIMP-2 in physiological and pathological processes in rat models.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat TIMP-2. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat TIMP-2 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat TIMP-2, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat TIMP-2. You can calculate the concentration of Rat TIMP-2 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
