Rat TIMP-1 (Tissue Inhibitors of Metalloproteinase 1) ELISA Kit
The Rat TIMP-1 (Tissue Inhibitors of Metalloproteinase 1) ELISA Kit is a precise and efficient assay designed to quantitatively measure the levels of TIMP-1 in various biological samples. TIMP-1 is a critical regulator of matrix metalloproteinases and plays a key role in tissue remodeling, cell proliferation, and maintaining tissue homeostasis. Abnormal TIMP-1 levels are associated with pathologies such as cancer, fibrosis, and cardiovascular diseases. Accurate quantification of TIMP-1 is essential for investigating its involvement in physiological and pathological processes, providing valuable insights into disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic strategies.
This ELISA kit from Assay Genie offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring reliable and reproducible results. With stringent quality control measures in place, this kit delivers robust performance and ease of use, making it an excellent tool for cutting-edge research applications.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat TIMP-1. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat TIMP-1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat TIMP-1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat TIMP-1. You can calculate the concentration of Rat TIMP-1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
