The Rat SOST (Sclerostin) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the quantitative detection of Sclerostin levels in various biological samples obtained from rat models. Sclerostin is a key regulator of bone metabolism, acting as an inhibitor of bone formation by regulating osteoblast activity and bone mineralization.
This ELISA kit provides researchers with a precise and reliable method to quantify Sclerostin levels, enabling a deeper understanding of its role in bone remodeling, skeletal development, and bone mineral density regulation. Accurate measurement of Sclerostin is crucial for unraveling the pathophysiology of bone disorders, such as osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases, and for exploring potential therapeutic strategies targeting Sclerostin signaling pathways. Manufactured under stringent quality control standards, the Rat SOST ELISA Kit ensures robust performance, accurate results, and ease of use, making it an invaluable tool for investigating the complex interplay of Sclerostin in bone homeostasis and skeletal health in rat models.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat SOST. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat SOST and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat SOST, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat SOST. You can calculate the concentration of Rat SOST in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
