The Rat Renin (REN) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the quantitative measurement of Renin levels in various rat biological samples. Renin is a pivotal enzyme that plays a key role in the regulation of blood pressure and fluid-electrolyte balance by initiating the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. This crucial pathway is involved in the control of blood pressure homeostasis and renal function, making assessment of Renin levels essential in cardiovascular and renal research. By utilizing this ELISA kit, researchers can accurately quantify Renin concentrations in rat samples, allowing for detailed investigations into the regulatory mechanisms of blood pressure and fluid balance in experimental models.
The assay provides exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring reliable and reproducible results. Manufactured under strict quality control standards, this ELISA kit offers robust performance and user-friendly protocols, making it an excellent choice for studies focusing on hypertension, renal physiology, and cardiovascular health in rat models.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat REN. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat REN and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat REN, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat REN. You can calculate the concentration of Rat REN in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
