The Rat PGF (Placental Growth Factor) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the quantitative detection of Placental Growth Factor levels in rat biological samples. Placental Growth Factor, also known as PGF, is a key angiogenic factor involved in various physiological processes, particularly in promoting blood vessel growth and vascular development. It plays a crucial role in angiogenesis, vascular remodeling, and tissue regeneration, with implications in embryonic development, organogenesis, and pathological conditions such as ischemic diseases and cancer. Accurate measurement of Placental Growth Factor concentrations using this ELISA kit provides valuable insights into angiogenic processes, vascular health, and the pathophysiology of conditions characterized by abnormal blood vessel formation.
Researchers can utilize this kit to investigate the role of PGF in diverse biological contexts, including wound healing, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer progression, among others. The Rat PGF ELISA Kit by Assay Genie offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results. With robust performance and user-friendly protocols, this kit is a reliable tool for research studies aiming to elucidate the intricate mechanisms of angiogenesis and vascular biology in both health and disease.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat PGF. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat PGF and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat PGF, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat PGF. You can calculate the concentration of Rat PGF in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
