Description
Rat PF4 (Platelet Factor 4) ELISA Kit
The Rat PF4 (Platelet Factor 4) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the quantitative detection of Platelet Factor 4 (PF4) levels in rat samples.
PF4 is a protein released from the alpha-granules of activated platelets and has a crucial role in various biological processes, including promoting platelet aggregation, mediating inflammatory responses, and modulating endothelial cell function. This ELISA kit offers researchers a reliable method to measure PF4 concentrations accurately, which can provide valuable insights into platelet activation, thrombosis, and inflammatory pathways. Accurate measurement of PF4 levels using this ELISA kit is essential for studying platelet function, understanding its implications in the coagulation cascade, and investigating its involvement in various thrombotic disorders or inflammatory conditions. The quantitative data obtained from this ELISA can contribute to a better understanding of PF4's role in both physiological and pathological conditions, facilitating research in areas such as hemostasis, thrombosis, and vascular biology. The Rat PF4 ELISA Kit by Assay Genie ensures exceptional sensitivity and specificity, enabling precise and reproducible results. Manufactured under strict quality control measures, this kit offers robust performance, ease of use, and reliable data output, making it an excellent choice for researchers investigating platelet biology, thrombotic disorders, and related fields of study.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat PF4. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat PF4 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat PF4, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat PF4. You can calculate the concentration of Rat PF4 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Rat PF4 were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Rat PF4 were tested on 3 different plates, 20 replicates in each plate.
