The Rat PAP (Plasmin-Antiplasmin Complex) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay developed for the quantitative measurement of Plasmin-Antiplasmin Complex levels in rat biological samples. The Plasmin-Antiplasmin Complex is an important indicator of fibrinolysis, representing the formation of plasmin, an enzyme responsible for breaking down blood clots, and its natural inhibitor, antiplasmin. This complex plays a crucial role in regulating blood clot formation and dissolution processes, thus influencing the balance of coagulation and fibrinolysis in the body. Accurate detection and quantification of the Plasmin-Antiplasmin Complex using this ELISA kit provide valuable information about fibrinolytic activity, coagulation status, and potential abnormalities in the clotting cascade.
Researchers can utilize this kit to investigate fibrinolytic pathways, monitor thrombotic disorders, and assess the risk of bleeding or clotting complications in various experimental and pathological conditions. The Rat PAP ELISA Kit by Assay Genie offers high sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results. With its reliable performance and user-friendly protocols, this kit is a valuable tool for research studies aiming to elucidate the intricate mechanisms of hemostasis, thrombosis, and fibrinolysis in rat models.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat PAP. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat PAP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat PAP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat PAP. You can calculate the concentration of Rat PAP in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
