Description
Rat OXB (Orexin B) ELISA Kit
The Rat OXB (Orexin B) ELISA Kit is a highly specialized assay designed to quantitatively detect levels of Orexin B in various rat biological samples. Orexin B, also known as hypocretin 2, is a neuropeptide produced in the hypothalamus that plays a crucial role in the regulation of sleep-wake cycles, appetite, energy homeostasis, and various physiological functions. Dysregulation of Orexin B signaling has been associated with sleep disorders, metabolic imbalances, and neurological conditions. Accurate measurement of Orexin B levels using this ELISA kit is essential for studying the intricate mechanisms underlying sleep regulation, energy metabolism, and related disorders.
By quantifying Orexin B concentrations in rat samples, researchers can gain valuable insights into the role of this neuropeptide in maintaining physiological balance and its potential implications in disease pathology. The Rat OXB ELISA Kit offered by Assay Genie ensures exceptional sensitivity and specificity, providing precise and reproducible results. Manufactured under strict quality control guidelines, this kit delivers reliable performance with user-friendly protocols, making it an excellent choice for researchers investigating Orexin B functions and its involvement in various physiological processes.

Application: | This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of OXB concentrations in Serum, plasma and other biological fluids. |
This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with OXB. During the reaction, OXB in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of OXB on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to OXB. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed away, and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of OXB in tested samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level OXB were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level OXB were tested on 3 different plates, 20 replicates in each plate.
