Description
Rat NPY (Neuropeptide Y) ELISA Kit
The Rat NPY (Neuropeptide Y) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the precise and quantitative detection of Neuropeptide Y levels in various rat biological samples. Neuropeptide Y is a key neurotransmitter and peptide hormone that plays crucial roles in modulating diverse physiological processes, including appetite regulation, stress response, cardiovascular function, and cognition. Dysregulation of Neuropeptide Y has been implicated in various conditions such as obesity, anxiety, and cardiovascular disorders, making accurate measurement of NPY levels essential for elucidating its physiological functions and pathological implications. This ELISA kit provides researchers with a powerful tool to investigate the role of Neuropeptide Y in the central nervous system, metabolic regulation, and stress responses.
By quantifying NPY levels in rat samples, researchers can enhance their understanding of the neuroendocrine system and its impact on overall health and disease states. The Rat NPY ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is characterized by exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results. Manufactured under stringent quality control standards, this kit offers robust performance and user-friendly protocols, making it an ideal choice for research studies exploring the complex functions of Neuropeptide Y in biological systems.

This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with NPY. During the reaction, NPY in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of NPY on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to NPY. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed away, and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of NPY in tested samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Kit Components: | An unopened kit can be stored at 2-8℃ for 1 month. If the kit is not supposed to be used within 1 month, store the components separately according to the following conditions once the kit is received.
