Description
Rat MT1 (Metallothionein 1) ELISA Kit
The Rat MT1 (Metallothionein 1) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the quantitative detection of Metallothionein 1 levels in various rat biological samples.
Metallothionein 1 is a key cytosolic protein that plays a crucial role in metal homeostasis, detoxification, and protection against oxidative stress. It is involved in the regulation of essential metals like zinc and copper and serves as a protective factor against heavy metal toxicity. This ELISA kit provides a reliable method for quantifying Metallothionein 1 levels, enabling researchers to investigate its role in metal metabolism, antioxidant defense, and cellular protection mechanisms. With exceptional sensitivity and specificity, this assay ensures accurate and reproducible results. Manufactured under strict quality control standards, the Rat MT1 ELISA Kit offers robust performance and ease of use, making it an excellent tool for studying metal-related biology and toxicology in rat models.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat MT1. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat MT1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat MT1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat MT1. You can calculate the concentration of Rat MT1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Kit Components: | An unopened kit can be stored at 2-8℃ for 1 month. If the kit is not supposed to be used within 1 month, store the components separately according to the following conditions once the kit is received.
