The Rat IL-5 ELISA Kit is expertly designed for the precise and quantitative detection of Interleukin-5 (IL-5) levels in diverse rat biological samples. IL-5 is a crucial cytokine known for its involvement in promoting the differentiation, maturation, and activation of various immune cells, especially eosinophils. As a key regulator of the immune response, IL-5 plays a significant role in allergic responses, asthma, and other immune-mediated conditions. Accurate measurement of IL-5 levels is essential for unraveling its specific functions in immune modulation and inflammatory processes.
Assay Genie's Rat IL-5 ELISA Kit offers unparalleled sensitivity and specificity, ensuring accurate and reproducible results. Manufactured under stringent quality control standards, this kit delivers robust performance, making it an ideal tool for research into the roles of IL-5 in immune responses and inflammatory disorders. The kit's user-friendly design further enhances its utility, providing researchers with a reliable and efficient solution for cytokine quantification studies.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat IL-5. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat IL-5 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat IL-5, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat IL-5. You can calculate the concentration of Rat IL-5 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
