The Rat IgE (Immunoglobulin E) ELISA Kit is specifically developed to quantitatively measure the levels of Immunoglobulin E (IgE) in a variety of biological samples.
IgE is a type of antibody that plays a crucial role in allergic responses and helps protect against parasite infections. When an individual with a hypersensitivity or allergy is exposed to an allergen, the body produces IgE antibodies that trigger the release of histamine and other mediators, leading to allergic symptoms. Accurate detection and quantification of IgE levels are essential for diagnosing allergies and monitoring immune responses. With Assay Genie's Rat IgE ELISA Kit, researchers can achieve reliable, reproducible, and precise results. This kit is designed with exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring high-quality performance and ease of use, making it an ideal choice for allergy research and immunological studies.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat IgE. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat IgE and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat IgE, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat IgE. You can calculate the concentration of Rat IgE in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
