The Rat HP (Haptoglobin) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay developed for the precise quantification of Haptoglobin in various rat biological samples. Haptoglobin is an acute phase protein produced primarily by the liver in response to inflammatory stimuli and functions as a critical component of the immune and inflammatory response. Its main role involves binding to free hemoglobin to prevent oxidative damage and facilitating the clearance of hemoglobin from circulation. This ELISA kit enables researchers to accurately measure Haptoglobin levels, shedding light on its involvement in inflammatory processes, hemolytic conditions, and immune responses.
By quantifying Haptoglobin, researchers can gain insights into its diagnostic and prognostic value in various diseases, including hemolytic disorders, infections, and inflammatory conditions. Manufactured following stringent quality control procedures, the Rat HP ELISA Kit ensures high sensitivity and specificity, guaranteeing accurate and reproducible results. Its robust performance and user-friendly design make it an excellent choice for researchers investigating the role of Haptoglobin in immune responses, inflammatory conditions, and disease pathogenesis.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat HP. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat HP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat HP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat HP. You can calculate the concentration of Rat HP in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
